whisk away your heartsighjigen daisuke the gunslinger with a heart of gold basics the basics full nameJigen Daisuke age30'soccupationOdd JobberspeciesHumanpronounsHe/HimusergroupThe CapitolfandomLupin III the powers Mainly, he's one exceptional shooter, with the ability to aim and shoot with amazing precision and speed (it is rumored that he has a drawing time of 0.3 seconds with a handgun, but these are just rumors, right???). He’s more inclined to make use of revolvers, which are his specialty, but he'll be happy to shoot with anything from machine guns to sniping rifles. He's just THAT obsessed with guns. Also, the thing about the hat over his eyes? It’s just so you don't where he's looking at, so he might be aiming at you without you even knowing. Spooky, right?Still on the same subject, he's fairly good at hand-to-hand fighting, but nothing really above normal when compared to someone leading a life of crime similar to his. So, he can hold his own against, like, average people, but you can't really expect him to take down people who are considerably stronger than him with his bare hands. Especially if they come in numbers. He might be quick on his feet, but that ability can only take him so far...Regarding other traits, he can pass by someone else pretty easily, due to his ability to disguise himself, a skill that he likely got to learn from Lupin, whom is amazingly talented when it comes to that. the canon Post Green Jacket, Pre Red Jacket. A little after him and the others ran away from Zenigata at the end of the last episode of the first season. Based on the beginning of Red Jacket, I'm assuming him and the others split paths at some point, and he's taken from the point after the path split. freestyle love blooms like a rose Jigen was well aware of the fact that he needed to stay away as much as he could but... he couldn't. He simply couldn't. Every time he tried to steer away from Angelica, her soft laughter and kind smile dragged him back, and he found himself by her side again and again.Everything about her was simply beautiful. Even the way her red hair swayed in the wind was a sight to behold. And the way she talked to him... He could hear her speak for hours. And sometimes, he did. Jigen was never a guy of many words, and Angelica never pried him to speak up, which he was thankful for.Despite the fact he was ready to worship her forever, he couldn't stay by her side. He wished he could stay with her like this forever, on a green, open field surrounded by flowers as she told him about her future... She has a future. A bright one. But what did Jigen have? He was already wanted in more countries than he could count, and him being in Italy was bad. Real bad. His plan was to get there, do what he had to do, and leave. But Angelica... she changed everything. He didn't expect to meet such a kind, soothing soul.Staying was going to ultimately put her in danger though. And he couldn't even begin to think about anything bad happening to her. The thought alone of her being harmed in any way already pulled at his heartstrings enough as it was. The pain of parting with her would be nothing compared to that.He had made up his mind to leave that night. He had no intention to say goodbye to her. He would just vanish from her life, and keep her away from danger. It was for the best."We'll be together like this forever."Those words from her pretty lips caught him off guard, and he couldn't do much aside from staring at Angelica's smiling face, eyes bright and full of hope. And that face cut deep into him. Deeper than any knife ever could. He wanted more than anything to make her wish come true, and yet...It took all his strength to smile at her and hold back the irritating tears that insisted on falling from his eyes. bleeding heart It wasn't clear for how long he had been lying there in the snow, but Jigen knew that if someone didn't show up soon, or if he didn't try and crawl his way out of there, he was done for.Everything had gone according to plan. It was all pretty simple really. The only difference between this and his previous heists with that rag tag group of mercenaries was the amount of money involved. This time, it was a true jackpot. Enough for all of them to stop worrying about money for a long time. The idea was to execute the plan, split the money and part ways. Quick and easy, just like Jigen liked it.He wasn't sure how he didn't see that coming, and now that he thought about it, lying on the ground with his blood tinting the snow, he cursed at himself with the little breath he still had.Mash...Jigen still could see that bastard's sharp smile as he shot everyone with that blasted machine gun he seemed to love more than life itself. Jigen wasn't sure how or why he was still alive after the sudden onslaught of bullets that rained his way. On one hand, he figured the snow was keeping his body cold enough so the bleeding slowed down. On the other hand, he figured that his pure need for revenge against Mash is what was keeping his heart beating and his lungs working. Either way, Mash was a dead man walking at that point. That was... if Jigen could find his way out of that mess. The last noises he heard in the area were Mash's insufferable laugh and the sound of a snow mobile driving away. And after that... silence. Just silence, with the occasional sound of the wind whistling. He didn't know when he passed out, but when he came to his senses he was lying on a very uncomfortable bed, with crude bandages around his wounds and was greeted by a familiar face. One of the two mercenaries who stayed behind to "hold the fort". The guy mentioned something about finding it weird they were taking so much to come back. Jigen could barely pay attention to it. His mind was too busy coming up with ways to dispose of Mash when they met again. the woes of a gunslinger Taking a drag from his cigarette, Jigen took a look around. Not like he could see much with the lights blinking on and off, and it didn't help said lights were of a different color every time. Now, it wasn't like he hated being in noisy, busy places like that, but clubs weren't his first choice when it came to going out. Lupin wanted to unwind though, and Jigen couldn't trust leaving him alone in a place like this. The thief always got into trouble when he wasn't around, so having to deal with loud music and constant chatter was a small price to pay for peace of mind later on. Anything to not get a call from Lupin at 4AM about how he got captured by some mobsters because he flirted with the wrong girl. Jigen wasn't looking forward to a rescue mission that night.Jigen scanned the room once more and spotted Lupin dancing with some short-haired blonde in a tiny dress, and he couldn't help but shake his head, with a smile on his lips though. Just that afternoon he had to hear Lupin babble about how magnificent Fujiko was, and how he wanted to be with her at all times, blah, blah, blah... And now there he was dancing and mingling with a random girl that caught his fancy at a club. Sometimes Jigen wondered if Lupin really had feelings for Fujiko, or if he was just obsessed with that woman because he couldn't charm her easily like all the others. At some point, Jigen got distracted watching a couple girls trying to match their dancing in what he was sure some improvised choreography, and jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder, one of his hands going for the gun holster hidden inside his coat."Aye! Don't shoot, Jigen-chan!"There was a sigh from Jigen when he identified Lupin's stupid smiling face in front of him. "Don't sneak upon me like that." He muttered, but he was sure Lupin didn't hear with how loud the music was.He asked if Lupin got tired of his dancing partner, and the thief just made a dismissive gesture with his hand. Jigen wasn't sure what that meant. If he was the one not interested, or the girl. He then had to deal with Lupin teasing him about how he was watching those girls dancing. He went on to explain he wasn't even slightly interested in them, he just found it funny how they were trying to coordinate a dance together at that crowded club."So, wanna dance with me?"That came out of nowhere, and it took Jigen a moment to realize Lupin was talking to him. And that the thief was offering one of his hands to him. Jigen looked down at the hand in front of him, than up at Lupin's face, a large smile still plastered on his face. He couldn't help but give Lupin a quizzical look and ask him if he was drunk, and what he got in response was a hearthy laugh."C'mon, I'll even lead, you don't have to worry about anything!"Then came a wink, and Jigen blinked a few times before letting out aloud sigh, putting off his cigarette and putting his hand on Lupin's. Why did he always let Lupin lead him into ridiculous situations like that. Two men dancing together at a club. Ridiculous indeed... Most likely... Maybe. shipper summary First things first, Jigen isn't the type of person to be all that much social. He prefers to keep his interactions with others to a minimum, unless he 1) is totally sure that he can trust that person or 2) can relate to that person at least to some extent. But, he does appreciate having company and having some fun from time to time. After all, all work and no play isn't the way to live. Of course that he isn't always willing to party and go out like his fun-loving partner Lupin, but when he feels like it, he can be a somewhat good company to keep around (if he wants someone to be around that is).Despite his anti-social behavior, Jigen isn't exactly short tempered or quick to anger. He's actually pretty calm and cool, despite being an alleged criminal with a pretty extensive track record. But when people start stepping on his toes a little bit too much (or keep escaping from him on a regular basis when he’s trying to kill them) they are in for getting yelled at and, possibly, injured, depending on how much he cares about said person. It isn't hard to see him yell in protest at some of Lupin's attitudes, and he's one of his closest friends, so one must be careful about what they says or does to him.It must be noted that he isn't very eager to get involved with women. His biggest reason to dislike women is because most of the ones that crossed his path were mostly backstabers, with very few exceptions, but it's better not to push him too much about that subject, or you'll only piss him off. Finally, he's pretty ambitious, and once he finds something that he's really interested into, be it money, jewels or some random golden statue from a rich man, he's going after it. But he's sure to keep some level of caution while acting, because one slip can lead to prison or something a lot worse. In short, he’s a lot more cautious than his pal Lupin (but then again, Lupin is one hell of a lucky bastard, so he doesn’t really need caution…). platonic If you manage to befriend Jigen, and get him to trust you, he'll be the most valuable friend you ever had. He's always willing to put his life on the line to protect those close to him. And he never, ever, goes back on his word, no matter. If he promises you something, he'll go to hell and back to keep said promise. However, it's not easy to gain his trust and to befriend him, since he's been a wanted criminal for ages now, and has come across a good deal of people who betrayed his trust. But believe me when I say it's worth it being on his good side. You won't regret that at all. antagonistic I'm not saying antagonizing and being enemies with Jigen is a bad idea, but if you aren't too hot about the idea of having one of the most skilled gunman in the world after your head, then you better not step on his toes. If Jigen has someone has an enemy, that animosity is for life and very, very hard to fix. And he's pretty serious about eliminating those he doesn't get along with. Long story short, try to at least have a neutral relationship with him, because otherwise you can consider yourself dead. romantic Jigen isn't incapable of love. He's indeed very damn capable of it, and that was shown more than once in the show. He just... has bad luck when it comes to picking partners. Because of that, and due to his bad experiences with trusting others, love is a hard thing for him. If it's already tricky befriending him, you can bet it's even harder to get him to get infatuated with someone. And that's not even going into the aspect of him not being honest about his feelings and never admitting he likes someone. Good luck getting that info out of him! Bonus: he's zero percent straight, 100% bi (at least that the headcanon I want to believe in). player the player aliasUkitimezoneGMT -3pronounsShe/Hermature contentA-OK! notes I don't really have many things I'm opposed to, and the only ones I can think of most likely don't apply to this community as they veer into very heavy topics, so, everything is pretty much free game!
