OH - HELLO, GUARDIAN.
you are ikora rey. the most respected, and most influential, warlock that many scholars turn to in times of need. you should enjoy being helpful, guardian - as i do believe that you're aware that your work is being used to help future generations of warlocks.
you are illustrious, battle-hardened and you are a seasoned academic. while i'm not trying to make you blush, guardian, i am simply telling you what everyone's thinking. many people think highly of you, especially because you are a vanguard.
only a few people, including myself, are aware of your past as the lone wolf. and... admittedly, i did not think you would be the kind of person who would end up joining the vanguard - a team that is meant to be all about working as, well, a team.
but now i can't see you being anywhere else...
if you were to ever leave the vanguard... cayde-6 and commander zavala would miss you. and i'm very sure you would miss them too. so i do hope you do not even think about leaving the two of them behind.
why am i bringing this up? i don't know... i guess with the traveler destroyed: i feel obliged to talk about some negative things about our future.
we are not even on earth, anymore, and i cannot even revive you - should you ever die. and our connection with the traveler has been severed, thanks to ghaul. and we don't even know if we'll ever be able to go back home! so... i apologize, ikora - but i cannot help being rather pessimistic.
you didn't even have the time to pick up your invective - the weapon you've used since your solo adventures. you are a lone wolf, again, and i can't help but feel rather sad for you. guardian. you shouldn't be going back to them times; as i can't see you being a lone wolf anymore.
those dark, strange voices in your head can tell you all the things they like - they'll try their best to stir you from doing good things - but i hope you trust me enough to see that i'm here to help you stay on the correct path.
you've done so much good - and i'm not letting some voices stop you from continuing to do more good. the vanguard was where i saw you really shine, ikora. you helped us all understand the hive realms and the vex gate - something which others failed to gain the information about. you excelled and even came up with a reliable theory that the vex gate network and the hive netherworlds share dimensional boundaries - just me saying that out loud amazes me! you've done so much... now you must do more.
the first good thing we should do on this new world should be finding your friends. we need to find commander zavala and cayde. maybe they have been transported here, as well? it's a rather high possibility - considering we are not the only ones, from other worlds, that have ended up here.
WE CANNOT LOSE HOPE, GUARDIAN.
